Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement classes are available at Lutheran High School for students who desire the challenge of doing college level work in high school. Students enrolled in the classes take the Advanced Placement exams in May each year and more than half qualify for college credit in each area tested. Currently students may enroll in seven different AP classes in the four disciplines which exceeds state requirements: Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition, Advanced Placement English Language and Composition, Advanced Placement World History, Advanced Placement U.S. History, Advanced Placement Biology, Advanced Placement Chemistry, and Advanced Placement Calculus. All teachers of Advanced Placement classes at Lutheran High School have had College Board training. All of the AP courses offered have been audited and approved by the College Board.
