Dear Alums,
We know many of you are saddened by the announcement that Lutheran High School will close in May. We would love to see you all before then and hopefully there will be reunion events in the future.
The School Closing Ceremony will be on Thursday, May 27th at 6:30 P.M. We would love to see as many of you here as possible.
Calling all former Praise Band members: We want to invite all the students who were in the Praise Band during their years at Lutheran High to come and play during Friday chapels in May beginning at 9:30 A.M. See you then.

Jordan Twedt '05, who recently graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, is now teaching at Easter Seals.
Robert Rumph '07 has been named to Ph Gamma Mu, an honor society for academic achievement in the social sciences at Southern Arkansas University.Christopher Middaugh '05 is will be attending Purdue University for a Master's program in Fisheries Biology. While attending Lyon College he was inducted into Alpha Chi National Honor Society and has been named a Robert W. Sledge Fellowship recipient, with the scholarship to be used while pursuing his master's degree. Christopher and Summer Townsend '05 will be married June 6 and will be living in Lafayette, Indiana.
Jennifer Brown Kelley '03 (Brownie) is married and lives in Conway. She is the mother of Ava who is nine months old and is expecting Aiden in December. Jennifer is working on a degree in nursing.
Haley Shollmeir McWhirt '03 got married to Christopher McWhirt on 8/16/08 and is living in Rogers.

James Stanley '03 graduated from UALR with a history degree and is working for the Department of Finance and Administration for the State of Arkansas.
Jillian Byrne Seilhamer '05 is going to the
Jennifer Nowlin '03 is an Arkansas Department of Corrections officer. She says, "I am married and begining a new life. The Lord has seen me through many things since graduation day. Lutheran High gave me the head start on a real life...what I mean to say is that I may not be rich, or have a new car, but I do have Christ in my heart, love in my life, and a wonderful family with whom I share these real treasures. Thanks LU-HIGH!! May God continue to bless everyone that passes into those halls.

Matt Page '02 and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of Benjamin Page born April ll, 2008, weighing 7.7 oz. 21 and 1/2 inches. Congratulations!Matt is currently attending the police academy to become a Little Rock police officer.
Matt Reed '02 graduated from Harding in engineering and is working for Entergy.
Sean Riordan '02 is living in Springdale, AR, and working for Budgetext. He is doing well and still is planning on going into the ministry.
Aaron Walter '03 graduated from Valparaiso with a degree in philosophy.
Steven Armstrong '05 is majoring in music at UALR and is composing an opera.
David Curtis '05 is attending Pulaski Tech, but says Lutheran High was the greatest school ever.
Maricatherine Penny, '03, has received a call to teach second grade at Town and Country Lutheran School in Sacramento, CA. She is our first alum to become a Lutheran educator. If this isn't correct let us know.
Geoff Shorts, '06, is featured and pictured in the Spring issue of Valpo Connection, a publication of Valparaiso University.
Peter Howe, '02, graduated from Truman State University with a degree in biology and is now at Iowa State University working on a Ph.D. in genetics.
Jamie West, '03, was accepted to UALR William H Bowen School of Law for the fall of 2007
Ashlely Hicks, '03, received early acceptance to med school at UAMS.
Leslie Cockmon (senior '05) is running cross-country and track & field on full scholarship with stipend for UALR, and is experiencing great success. She is currently majoring in geology.
Jennifer Kettler, '06, was named to the Term Honors List at Concordia University for the fall term.
Patrick Smith, '06, is featured in the Eagletter, the National Eagle Scout Association's magazine, because he received the Mable and Lawrence S. Cooke Scholarship for $48,000
Summer Townsend, '05, has written an article that appeared in the January Lutheran Witness
Maricatherine Penny, '03, has had poem published inthe Concordia Literary Magazine. Maricatherine received her degree in Liberal Studies in Elementary Education in December and is currently student teaching in the Los Angeles area and will get her teaching credential in May.
